About My Practice
My acupuncture practice has collected a few different modalities since I graduated form school. I incorporate these as seems appropriate for each patient. Japanese Meridian Therapy uses non-insertive needles, one is gold and one is silver, which one is used is based on how the Qi meridian is best balanced. My teacher for this method is Sensei Awashina (AKA Dr. Bear). I am very interested in non-needle techniques so have collected some tools for this. First is a soft laser, the Q 1000. Is has a spread of settings to accommodate many conditions. The second is the DOVE a SCENAR device developed for the Russian cosmonauts. It puts a mild electrical charge into surface areas that are blocked. It reads the electrical activity on the skin and emits the charge. The third is the Solaris Health blanket, also of Russian Cosmonaut technology, it reflects the bodies’ own healing energy back for self-healing. I have also studied Lymphatic Drainage and find this technique applicable to many conditions.
